Americans Don’t Believe the Federal Government Does Enough for Children
Every Child Matters was created to champion greater federal investments in children and families. We don’t think the federal government does enough to promote the health, education, and safety of children. The American public agrees with us. The Pew Research Center released a poll today showing that a solid majority (59%) say the federal government does not provide enough to children. Only 30% say it provides the right amount. A scant 7% think it provides too much. By contrast, 61% believe the federal government does too much for the wealthy.
