The Children’s Opportunity Forum

Millions of US children face social and economic barriers
to achievement and success. How do we make opportunity accessible to all children?
#KidsOpportunity

In October, we and our partners hosted a nonpartisan day of activities examining the opportunity gap among children in America, and what it will take to close it. The Robert Putnam lecture is over, but you can watch the video of the Town Hall, which includes a special appearance by Dr. Putnam.

Robert Putnam: Our Kids & The American Dream in Crisis

Renowned Harvard social scientist Robert Putnam shares findings from his book Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis, which looks at how the promise of the American dream eludes millions of children, and the policy solutions that would close the widening opportunity gap. "No one can finish this book and feel complacent about equal opportunity" (The New York Times Book Review). Register to attend in person or to watch the livestream or a one-time re-broadcast online.
