Speak out against childcare cuts!

From our friends at CCCS — As of this month, the Suffolk County Department of Social Services has reduced the eligibility levels for childcare subsidies, leaving many low income families without the assistance they need to ensure quality child care while they work. Many of us witnessed the devastating impact of these cuts when eligibility levels were  drastically slashed a few years ago. We must not allow this to happen again! Let’s meet to discuss what can be done to address this problem, to protect low-income working families and to ensure quality, affordable child care. The meeting is on Friday May 13 at 2pm. For the address and more information call 631-462-0303 Ext. (165).
