#Message2Mulvaney Partner Toolkit

Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), wants to eliminate before- and afterschool programs that serve over 1.6 million kids because he believes the programs don’t work. This is simply not true. Before and after school programs are proven to improve students’ academic performance. Defunding these programs would harm the children who are most in need.

Join Every Child Matters along with national and state partners in a coordinated online-offline response to Mulvaney’s false and harmful claim.

The Action: Send a brown paper lunch bag to Mick Mulvaney with a message supporting before- and afterschool programs.

Mulvaney hasn’t seen the evidence, but we have. Before- and afterschool programs work. They provide crucial support to children and ensure they have food in their stomachs.
