Protect the vulnerable
Tell Congress: Protect the vulnerable, not the rich.
The Joint Committee on Taxation reports that in 2012 alone, tax cuts for our wealthiest americans will cost taxpayers $20 billion.
Meanwhile, the 2012 appropriations bill unveiled by Rep. Jack Kingston recently proposes drastic cuts to the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) nutrition and health program. These cuts would mean that up to 350,000 low-income women and children would no longer receive help through this program.
It’s wrong to balance the budget on the backs of our most vulnerable.
