9:00 am - 10:00 am Town Hall for Colorado's children and the 2012 Election
Join this town hall discussion with "Year of the Student" nonprofit executive directors and community leaders who are concerned for Colorado’s children. Learn why they have chosen to get involved and what you need to know about P-20 education reform, Colorado School Finance Partnership Report and Recommendations and Colorado's children’s budget.

Town hall participants will include the  diverse group of eighty-four organizations  who’ve join together to make 2013 "The Year of the Student," using the next legislative session to create and find funding for a P-20 education finance system that matches reforms, mandates and accountability measures with the resources necessary to ensure that every student is successful.

10:00 am - 11:30 am – Town Hall for America’s children and the 2012 Election

The federal government funds over 180 different children's programs, from child health and education to child welfare and juvenile justice. Yet, it may surprise many Americans that less than 8 percent of the federal budget is invested in kids.

Join this town hall discussion with Michael Petit, President of Every Child Matters Education Fund, members of the Coalition on Human Needs, members of the faith community and scholarly experts to explore the national dialog on policy impacting children all across the United States. Learn how federal budget cuts and sequestration will impact programs serving Colorado's children.
