When You Fill Up This Card, Everyone Wins!

From Voices for Virginia’s Children:

We know that you all, like us, are all about making kids count. Well, now we’re going to ask you to do some counting for kids: tonight, Oct. 3rd at 9PM, the Democratic and Republican nominees for U.S. President will have their first debate, centering on domestic policy. That means tonight is a huge opportunity for the candidates to lay out the details of the policies they will champion or challenge that most affect kids’ lives and futures.

Learn more about the Presidential Debate schedule here. Several networks will be live-streaming, including: C-SPAN, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, FOX, CNN & MSNBC.
We want to make sure the candidates know we’re all listening for those policies in particular, to hold them accountable to what they have planned for our nation’s children. What affect will their plans for the federal budget have on programs that serve children and families? What programs might they be targeting that could end up helping or hindering kids’ chances for success?

We’ll be watching along tonight, and starting some conversations through our Facebook and Twitter networks. We hope you’ll follow along too, and join in our conversation. To make it a bit more fun, we’ve come up with a way to help you keep track of the conversation — Use this BINGO card to mark when the candidates touch on kids’ issues, and then come share your thoughts with us on Facebook and Twitter (use the hashtag #Vote4Kids).

Let’s make sure kids count in this election!
