Chair
Terry Ann Lunt – Terry Ann recently retired from the positions of Executive Director of the Brazelton Touchpoints Center (BTC) at Boston Children’s Hospital and Managing Director of the Brazelton Touchpoints Foundation, where she presided for 13 years over a period of substantial growth and reach. Her career spanned more than 30 years as a CEO, and in other senior leadership positions in the health, public health, civil rights and human service sectors, in organizations spanning state and local government, private non-profit organizations, and for- profit entities. She has served as a trustee or director on numerous boards, in communities across multiple states. The Brazelton Touchpoints Center, an outgrowth of the pioneering work of Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, one of the most influential scientists, clinicians, and advocates in pediatrics and child development of the 20th century. In 2013, Dr. Brazelton was awarded the President’s Citizens Medal, the nation’s second highest civilian honor.

Brian Ahlberg – President of Every Child Matters Education Fund. He previously served as Iowa Senator Tom Harkin’s Chief of Staff for 10 years, and before that as his Legislative Director, a position he also held with Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone. Brian’s resume includes more than 20 years of DC experience in management, legislative, advocacy, and communications positions.

Dr. Steve Berman, FAAP – Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and endowed chair of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital in Denver. He is also Director of the University of Colorado Center for Global Health. A practicing primary care pediatrician, he is a leader in child advocacy, child health policy, clinical and outcomes research, international health, and pediatric education.

M. Laurie Cammisa, Esq. – As Chief of Staff to the President of Kaiser Permanente Health Plan in the Mid-Atlantic States, she develops, aligns, executes and communicates the strategic plan. Previously, she was Vice President for Child Advocacy for Children’s Hospital Boston, as well as government relations. Before going to Children’s Hospital, she was a legislative assistant to Rep. Dan Rostenkowski where she handled a variety of issues, with an emphasis on taxes.

Keith Liederman – Executive Director of Kingsley House in New Orleans, which serves children and families in New Orleans through a range of programs. He holds a PhD and serves on the board of the Child Welfare League of America and the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations.

Karen Perdue – Vice President for Health at the University of Alaska. Previously, she served as Commissioner of Human Services in Alaska.

Michael Petit – Founder and past President of Every Child Matters Education Fund. Previously, he served as Commissioner of Maine’s Human Services Department and was Deputy Director of the Child Welfare League of America. He was appointed by President Obama and served as Commissioner on the Commission to Eliminate Child Abuse and Neglect Fatalities.
